SANDI, TYLER, BETHANY, BRYN, TOMMY:
Here is a short-term action plan I came up with after last night's meeting.
1) Pray for God's continued protection, blessing, and guidance!
2) Designate people to head up calling everybody to remind them of our bi-weekly meetings.
3) Get flyers printed for film festival and normal distribution.
4) Set up meeting with KJ regarding publicity within Sr. High (Bryn and I will be at this meeting).
5) Set up meeting with Danny MacPhaile regarding worship team and interviewing artists that come through Bayside (Tyler and I will attend this meeting).
6) Attend FF (film festival) meeting this Sunday night at the cafe if you can make it!
7) !!!!! Discuss our vision and long-term action plan following FF meeting! Pray, pray, pray!
Regarding #7, it doesn't have to be tomorrow night, but I want to get everybody together again ASAP, (with Bryn this time), so we can go over our long-term goals. I was thinking this FF meeting would be a good time to meet provided most of us can make it.

If you guys could let me know about the meeting with KJ, I'd like to hopefully go to that one too. He's a photographer, so I feel that he and I could probably get along well.

Hi,
1) Yes, we want this group to be God-driven, not agenda driven!
2) Can we send out a reminder EMAIL versus calling everyone for bi-weekly meetings?
I think we should phone call NEW people & thank them for coming. This would give them a chance to ask any questions they might have as well as make them feel welcome. Maybe we could have group leaders - a music leader, dance leader, art leader, etc. and they would be the ones to get the phone numbers and then make those calls...?
Phone calls will also need to happen for events...to gather volunteers and coordinate things that need to get done. So, that's why I think emails should go out for meetings and phone calls for other things. Your thoughts on this?
3. We definately need a design for flyers @ the FF!! Anyone up for this???
4. In our FF meeting tonight, Chanelle said that she is also trying to get a meeting with KJ so that they can announce the festival as well as ask for servers/waiters to HELP with the event. David had a great idea to partner with the FF folks and try to get an announcement for both COA and the FF! Go David!!
The other cool idea David had is for COA to be in charge of table centerpieces for the Film Festival. They said that would be great...and I offered to coordinate this for COA!! We could incorporate COA slogans, designs or themes as part of (or around) the centerpieces! How cool is that??? All ideas are welcome!
Last, but not least...the FF folks gave us a PRIME spot on the Bayside campus for our booth! It is in one of the Gazebos RIGHT next to the front entrance! Wow! Let's get to work on ideas to make this a killer display!!
5. We'll be praying about these meetings with KJ and Danny at Bayside.
6. I covered most of the stuff from the FF meeting...but they are definately looking for volunteers to help make this a great success! Concessions, serving tables, hanging up posters & distributing flyers, etc. What's great is that this is an event we can be part of and learn the nuts and bolts of how to do it. I encourage you guys to get involved...even if it's just the day of the event!!
7. Great idea to have a long-term action plan meeting. Just let me know if you'd like my help. You guys are all quite sharp by yourselves!! I can't tell you HOW impressed I am by all your talents and ideas.

P.S - The Hope Walks event on Nov. 10th sound great! Unfortunately, I am going to be out of town that weekend leading worship, so I can't BE there...but I will give imput & help in any way I can.

Ah, it was so good to see you, Tommy and Sandi, tonight!
I love the idea of just doing emails. We have the capability so I will compile a bulk mailing list for us.
As far as flyers go, we have designs. Bryn is doing to touch-ups. I would really really really like to see them done by this next weekend.
The FF: Channelle told me that we can sell stuff. We have a 30-70 deal with the church. 30% goes to them, 70% we keep. Exciting. Thus, leading to the question: should we open a bank account for COA?
